Theme

The theme for the 2019 rescue quilt is "Memories of the ’60s."

Style

We are delighted to dedicate the 2019 Rhodesian Ridgeback quilt to our beloved companions. To represents the RRCUS national specialty theme, "The ’60s," 16 quilters portrayed memories of this era, from flower children and the Beatles to Vietnam.

The finished size of the quilt is 80 in. square (203 cm x 203 cm). The background suggests tie dye, so popular during this era. Joan Lipiec designed the on-point layout. Pat Ottaway made the quilt label. Custom longarm quilting in a flower design was completed by Denise Cargill of Hobe Sound, Florida.

Raffle

The 2019 quilt was raffled to raise funds for Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue, Inc. The winning ticket for the quilt was drawn at the 88th RRCUS National Specialty Show in Huron, Ohio, following completion of Best of Breed competition on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Raffle ticket holders needed not be present to win.
