Meet Coral (ID5823)

Tri-pod Coral was surrendered to a local shelter when her owner had a life-changing event and moved to assisted living. She is cautious and quiet when meeting strangers. She takes her time getting to know and trust anyone. She’s quite friendly and very affectionate to people she knows. Being a tripod doesn’t slow her down. She runs after squirrels and rabbits in the yard. She will kill a squirrel or rabbit if she catches one. She walks well on a leash and doesn’t seem reactive when out for a walk. We don’t believe she’s encountered a cat but suspect a cat would trigger the same desire to chase as the squirrels and bunnies. Coral is accustomed to being in a relatively quiet house with women and another dog. She sleeps on her plush dog bed in the bedroom at night, on her bed in the living room or on the couch during the day. She’s not destructive when left alone. She gets her nails clipped and dremeled regularly with very much reluctance. She should be monitored when outside in the yard as she loves to sniff out small critters and dig them up. She will bark to alert when she hears noises outside. She will bark at passing by people and dogs. Small children are an unknown. Coral is available for adoption in South East PA or Nat. Cap.
