Meet Nola (ID6199)
Nola ended up in Rescue with her sister and mom, who have been adopted. They were all owner surrenders, and Nola has had a very difficult time adjusting to life without her sister, whom she was very dependent on. Nola is a gorgeous purebred, ridged girl, but is very scared and anxious. We are working on building her confidence in foster! She is quite the affectionate girl, but is extremely choosy with who gets that affection. If she does like you, she will be your forever companion, and the most loyal and loving dog you have ever had. BUT YOU MUST BE A FEMALE. Nola is not a fan of male humans. She is not aggressive, but so fearful and just grumbles the entire time they are present in the room. She will come up to the male in her foster home for pets, but only when the foster mom is close by. She is a little better with the teenage male in her foster home. She does love male dogs, all dogs of all sizes. She loves to play and is non-reactive to dogs. She is a typical RR in her play style, so her forever home must have another dog who can handle that kind of hard play. This dog will also need to be confident and not skittish in any way. Nola loves to cuddle, and will sleep on the bed if you let her or on a dog bed in your room. Nola is UTD on shots, HW neg and on preventative, crate and house trained, walks ok on lead, and will need to be spayed and microchipped before being adopted. She is eager to please and very food motivated, so training will be easy. Nola sounds like a lot to handle, but she really is a happy, wiggly puppy and will be a wonderful companion to the right woman. DOB 2/13/25. Nola is being fostered in the Raleigh NC area
