Meet Viola (ID6179)
Viola was scheduled to be euthanized for space at the Charlotte shelter. Fortunately, some volunteers went to see her and got her to a safe place. Viola is a very happy, very affectionate, slickback queen. She loves nothing more than to sit with her head in your lap or lie next to you (on you) on the couch. She is a huge snuggler. She enjoys the company of other dogs, and is good with all ages and sizes. She likes to play but can be rough with other dogs and is lightening fast. She is also good with school aged or older kids, she takes treats gently and will sit to be petted….and very quickly melts down onto the ground and rolls over for a tummy rub. Viola is spayed, UTD on shots, HW negative and on preventative, house and crate trained, and loves the car. She walks ok on leash but pulls when she sees another dog or person, she is very strong for her size. A training class will be a requirement post adoption. While Viola does like other dogs, she would be fine as an only dog. We have not been able to test with cats but she does get very excited and chases squirrels and other wildlife. Vi does not require a home with a fenced yard, however, she would need daily exercise more than walking…so either a runner or dog park. No underground fence. She is a lovely dog and would make a wonderful addition! DOB approx 8/1/22 (Rescue dogs are NEVER to be off leash unless in a secure area)
