Meet Ruckus (ID6150)

Meet the sweetest little boy doggie! This is Ruckus, and he was pulled at the 11th hour from a kill shelter in rural NC. He had come in as a stray, but it is clear he was someone’s dog at one time. He is a small boy, only 37 lbs now but needs to add about 10 lbs. He will be a medium sized dog. But what he lacks in size, he makes up in personality! Ruckus commits 100% to whatever he’s doing….playing, sleeping, crawling in your lap, snuggling. He is so gentle when taking treats. He is UTD on shots, HW neg and on preventative, crate trained, working on house training and some basic commands, walks well on lead, loves a car ride, and will be neutered and microchipped next week. Ruckus has the softest fur and most endearing smile. He loves to lie in the sun and watch birds and squirrels in the backyard. He has not shown a high prey drive, but we’re not sure how he would do with a cat. He loves other dogs and people of all sizes. He does try to rise up for a hug, but we are working on that. Because he is mixed with Lab (our best guess) he has one impressive ridge that stands up an inch! Ruckus would be most happy in a home with another doggie of similar age to play with and definitely needs a fenced backyard. DOB 5/30/2024
