Our region is proud to offer the following list of successful rescues and adoptions for your review. All of these Rhodesian Ridgebacks are happily living out their lives in loving, caring, adoptive homes!

"Panya" means "mouse" and is a name given to small children, which makes it fitting for this little girl. Panya is going home! Steve and Ranleigh fell in love with this little cutie the minute they saw her, and can't wait to get her home. She will be enrolled on obedience classes as soon as possible, and they are delighted to have her. Thank you, Paula, for fostering this bundle of energy.

Irish was regretfully relinquished by her owners because of an illness in the family. Irish is going home to Melanie and Shannan and their big ridgeback. They are very excited to get her and will be a great family for Irish. Thanks to Jeanne in Idaho and a big thank you to Dee for fostering Irish.

Reba's owner had to give her up because he moved into a place where he couldn't have her. She is very sweet, a real people person. Reba went to her new home and she is exactly suited to her new family! Deb is looking for a quiet companion for when her husband Karl is out of town, and Karl is looking for a companion when he is home. Reba can do both! It was love at first sight for all parties concerned. Thank you, Lonnie, for fostering this wonderful dog.

Garth is a young neutered Ridgeback/Catahoula Leopard mix-what a combination! He is a real sweetheart, and loves to play with everyone. Our lovely, lively Garth has finally found a home. He was not the easiest dog to place, but Shannon and her 10 year old whippet can't help but admire him. He is beautiful and has personality plus, with tons of energy to keep his new family on their toes. Thank you to Paula for fostering - and almost keeping! - Garth.

DESCRIPTION

Ronno is a male, ridged, RR mix (unknown). Ronno has finally found his soulmate! Barry and Ronno met some time ago and hit it off right away, but Barry had to get his home ready for his new buddy. Barry says Ronno reminds him of a dog he had a while ago that was a really good dog he had for 12 years. We are hoping that the great friendship between Barry and Ronno lasts at least that long. Lucy is a ridged Australian Cattle Dog/RR mix. She is the blue color of the ACD. Lucy is smart and responsive and will be able to do anything - agility, flyball, frisbee, maybe even herding! Lucy was turned into a shelter because she was "too playful." Lucy the mix has found her home with April, Joe and 14 year old Sean. Lucy is now named Bandit - because she stole the hearts of her new family. Lucy and Sean are the best of friends, and Sean is going to take her to obedience school and look into doing agility with this bundle of energy. Thank you to Lonnie for getting Lucy "sprung" and special thanks to Jane and Barbara for fostering her.

Saber is a ridged German Shepherd mix, and is beautiful. Saber has found his new home with Tracy and Dick in Oregon. They just love their new handsome boy and he will be going to obedience school soon to smooth out the rough edges. Thank you to Randy and Cindy for lovingly fostering Saber for so long!

Tess is a purebred well-bred ridgeless female. She doesn't get the time and attention she needs in her home, so her owners have decided to give her up. Tess has gone to her new home with Linda and David in Portland, Oregon. They are crazy about their new sweet dog, and Tess will be placed on a diet IMMEDIATELY and will have her thyroid tested for her obesity and hair loss. She will get all the love and attention she needs.

DESCRIPTION

Dij is a big ridged purebred male. He has a very nice looking RR. He is big and is very juvenile in his behavior. Dij went to his new home with Alice and Robert in Portland, Oregon and they are thrilled to have him! They are repeat customers: they adopted a dog from RR rescue about 5 years ago and that dog passed away in November. Alice and Robert will give Dij all the time and attention he needs and Dij will be very happy with them. Thanks to Holley, Erin and Elaine for helping with this overgrown puppy!

DESCRIPTION

Zama is a purebred ridged male who was hit by a car. The driver paid for the corrective surgery (from which he will recover completely), but no owner was ever located. Zama went to his new home with Lori and her lab in Portland, OR. Lori says he is a wonderful dog and doing very well. Zama is playful and happy - just what Lori was looking for! Thanks to Paula for fostering him.
