Though Ruby initially seemed to have issues with men, it appears it isn't all men and she is doing well in her new home. Rhodney was surrendered to rescue because he was too much for a family unprepared and unfamiliar with RRs. Upon arrival at his foster home, it became his permanent home. He fit right in with RR brother Charlie (same age and rescued several months prior) and older RR sister Shelby. He has lots of room to run and play and is getting the training he wanted and needed to be an RR gentleman! Thanks to Elaine for opening her home to such a handsome boy. Special thanks to Todd for giving Rhodney a lift across the state!

Lucky #1500! Clementine, now Brandy, was listed on Petfinder as a boxer/RR mix. This beautiful purebred ridgeless came into rescue and was foster for one day when she met Michelle, Curt, Lucy and Bailey - and it was an instant match. Bailey was happy to give up the responsibility of playing with 2 yr. old Lucy and Brandy was just what Lucy's been looking for. Brandy is the playmate with enough gusto to take the lead, but not be bossy!! The only reason Brandy didn't go straight into her new home was because Lucy needed a few more days to recover from a recent spay surgery - and to get her juices flowing for the non-stop play to come! So three days later - she went home and everyone is thrilled! Thanks to Tina at A Pets F.A.T.E. for looking out for Brandy, to Allen for offering his help, and to Pam for puppy sitting while Lucy got ready for her new sister!

She's taught big brother Huika (RR) that she doesn't want to be cornered or pushed to far and reminded him that females are alpha! This sweetie was found as a stray and practically starved. She needed a good family that would be around and another dog for socialization. Lunan and Tony immediately had designs on adopting this girl when we called to tell them we were brining her up from Texas. Thanks for bringing this sweet gal into your lives!

Moose was rescued by a wonderful family back in 1999, and was surrendered back to rescue due to an overseas placement. Thanks to Julia for caring and loving for Moose over the past four years! We know this was hard for her, but everyone's happy that Moose has found a new home with Heidi and Scot. Moose joins big sister Venus (adopted last May), two other canine buddies and the family cat in their wonderful home. Scot flew to Texas to bring this sweet guy back. Moose is very happy as he found Texas a bit warm (which us folks in Washington didn't know was possible for a RR!) Thanks again to Julia, Heidi and Scot for working together for Moose!

Issa found her forever home with Allen and Cheryl. Issa was found as a stray an spent her early formative months in a pound where Helping Hands Rescue saved her from medical testing! Allen's and Cheryl's extended family includes two ridgeless sisters (Charley and my own Tori). So, when along came this young ridgeless girl we knew we found a match! Issa spends her days with Allen and enjoys watching football, going on trips to the Columbia River and most definitely playing with Charley and Tori. Ruthy's new family met her at the Northwest Ridgeback Fun Day and fell completely in love with this sweetheart. She joins an older Ridgie Sister and lab brother, as well as the family cat, Bob. She's working on winning the affections of her new brother and sister, while Bob is ready to be friends with the new gal! She enjoys lots of long hikes, short runs and wonderful puppy massages. I loved this dog and she was hard to give up, but my husband said I was being selfish!! When my farrier came to trim our horses feet, it was love at first site. She hopped right in the cab of his truck and goes everywhere with him. Jim says my labs don't mind but mabelmay does!! So she gets to sleep at the foot of our bed and help me manage 50 race horses.
