See Pictures of Bentley Bentley was surrendered to rescue when his owner became unable to care for him. He had some pretty bad allergies but Diane and Jim deceided to adopt him and try to get his alergies in check. With persistant vetting and trying new food and supplements Bentley is no longer suffering from his allergies. He is a very lucky dog to have such a wonderful couple want to make him part of their family. He has other dogs to play with and horses to keep him busy. Florida rescue is thankful for such a loving and dedicated home for Bentley.

Foxy F Under 3 mos Jul 01 YES ID394
See Pictures of Foxy Foxy is a very young Ridgeback mixed puppy. She was picked up as a stay. She is full of life and was looking for a stable, loving home. She is smaller than a purebred Ridgeback and likely would never reach 20 pounds. Foxy was adopted by a couple who already own a Ridgeback. They had discussed getting another dog but had decided against getting a Ridgeback because they wanted a small dog. After looking on the internet for a calendar and stumbling upon the RR Rescue Calendar they found the Ridgeback Rescue website. It was fate from that point when they discovered that they could have the wonderful characteristics of a Ridgeback in such a small package. This was a perfect match that was meant to be!

Buggsie M 3 yrs Jun 01 YES ID366
See Pictures of Buggsie Buggsie is a big male ridgeback who is just craving attention. He was boarded at a vet clinic for two years due to his owners inability to care for him. When the vet clinic closed Buggsie had to go, so rescue was contacted. Buggsie has made the long car ride with his new mom Camille to his new home in Georgia. And boy is he going to be spoiled and happy. Camille came down to Florida to meet "The Bug Man" and it was love at first sight. She finished her vacation then picked Buggsie up on her way back home. He will have other doggie friends to play with and basically be pampered and spoiled the way any dog should be. We are very happy Buggsie has found such a wonderful home with Camille.

Dane M 1 yr Jun 01 YES ID358
See Pictures of Dane Dane headed to Atlanta, Ga. from Florida to meet his new doggie sister, Phoebe, and check out his new forever home. Dane was adopted and his name was changed to Azizi, which means Precious One. His nick name will be Zeke. Zeke had a rough start in life, having lived outdoors on a chain or in a dirty 6x6 run. Now he will have the life of luxury. He and his new pal, Phoebe, have become instant friends. They are close to the same age and have been having a blast playing together. He will be starting obedience classes soon so he can make his new owners proud. The biggest obstacle Zeke will have to overcome is learning how to climb stairs; he thinks they are crazy things to be put between him and his new owners bed. I am sure he will learn to maneuver them quickly so he can hang out up on the bed whenever he feels like it. Florida rescue is thrilled to have Zeke go to such a wonderful home.

Kia F 1 yr May 01 YES ID321
See Pictures of Kia Kia had a long road to travel with ridgeback rescue. It started out by her being surrendered to a vet clinic in Key West, Fl. She stayed there for a couple months hoping to find a home in the Keys. When that did not happen rescue was notified and she made the journey up to Orlando and into a foster home. Kia now renamed Sabara also had to undergo heartworm treatment while in foster care. This was hard for her as there was a young male r/r named Shaka living there who wanted badly to run and play with her. But she stayed calm until her treatment ended and she got a clean bill of health. Sabara was adopted by her foster family Keith and his son Kyle. Now Sabara and Shaka take frequent trips to the dog park and have a blast playing in their backyard. She is being taught some basic obedience and loving all the attention. We are pleased to have found this forever home for this cute, sweet girl.

Lindey F 4 yrs Apr 01 NO TBD
DESCRIPTION Lindey has found a new home with a young Ridgeback and owners that love her sense of humor and even laugh at her scavenging capabilities. Her new owner refers to her as "Foodini". Lindey's licking obsession has completed disappeared, she has plenty of activity and love to keep her mind off of her leg. She's also earning her keep by keeping the younger Ridgeback tired and out of trouble.

Zuri F 7 yrs Apr 01 YES ID283
See Pictures of Zuri Zuri has gone on to her wonderful new home. Alice decided that Zuri would be the perfect doggie sister for her r/r Chief. The 2 dogs met and seemd to think the other was pretty neat...so Zuri was adopted and headed to her new home to begin her new life. Zuri goes upstairs in her new home and overseas her new domain, she is very happy there and Chief is liking having her around. Thank You Alice for giving this dainty gal a fantastic, loving home.

Buddy M 3 yrs Apr 01 YES ID293
See Pictures of Buddy After being in foster care for a looong time while he underwent heartworm treatment Buddy FINALLY went on to his new home. He was adopted by Mary and Brad and their 3 wonderful children. When the family met Buddy he could not believe all the attention he got, there were enough people to provide him with pats and belly rubs as long as he wanted. Buddy bonded with the family very quickly and it was apparent this was the RIGHT home for him. He is having fun going on walks and getting used to his new home. He is now living with some cats so there are a few lessons for him to learn as far as they are concerned, but otherwise he is one happy pooch. He went from an abandoned dog, left tied outside a shelter one night, to a dog with all the attention and loving 1 dog can stand. We wish Buddy and his new family a great life together.
