NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Ben Hur M 18 mos Mar 01 YES ID292
See Pictures of Ben Hur Ben is a very lucky dog to have a new home with Brenda. He was surrendered to rescue when his original family could no longer provide the home he needed. He needed an experienced dog person who was willing to take the time with Ben and train him to become the great dog he was meant to be. Brenda will be training Ben as a Search and Rescue dog. We are all anxious to see if he will do well and keep up with the other breeds known for this type work. He is very happy in his new home and bonded well with Brenda. R/R Rescue wishes Ben and Brenda the best of luck in their training and fun together.

Jessie F 4 yrs Mar 01 YES ID192
See Pictures of Jessie Jessie was turned in by a family that could not keep her. She has finally found her forever home. After a successful dermoid surgery and recovery she was adopted by Dave and Tammy of Palm Beach, Florida. Along with her new owners she got a doggie sister named Pookie. Pookie is a black lab-r/r mix with a beautiful ridge. The new doggie sisters are having fun together going to the dog park and seeing who can get the best spot on the bed. We are thrilled Jessie went to such a loving home and we know she will have a wonderful, fun filled life there.

NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Dallas M 2 yrs Feb 01 YES ID251
See Pictures of Dallas Dallas not only has a new home, he has a new name. It is Zubari Chigaru -- "Zub" for short. He was adopted by Stephen and Angela of Jacksonville. They have taken him to the park and he has met and played with other dogs and is having a great time. Who knew life could be so good outside the shelter :) Zub will begin obedience classes soon and is looking forward to leading an active and full life with his new owners.

Amber F 3 mos Feb 01 YES ID191
See Pictures of Amber Amber was adopted very quickly from Florida rescue. It's no wonder with those ice blue eyes that she wiggled her way into the hearts and home of Heidi and Ricky. Amber now has 2 older lab /mix brothers to play with (Ceaser and Sammy). She also has a new name to start her new life with...it is Moshi named after a South African Village. Moshi is already learning to catch and retrieve a frisbee because Ricky is determined to have her become a frisbee dog. Heidi is making sure she has eventful playtimes with her 2 new brothers and Moshi makes sure she gets alot of snuggle time in with the whole family. We are excited to have Moshi in such a wonderful home so close to us in Florida, we are all anxious to see how this striking pup grows up.

NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Zimba F 5 yrs Jan 01 YES ID164
See Pictures of Zimba Zimba has moved onto her forever home. We knew it was going to be a wonderful home because Roberta had already adopted a rescue from us before. Zimba will also share her home with a couple of cats and ALOT of wildlife...you see Roberta works for a state park and lives right in the park, so Zimba has been having a blast getting used to all the sights and smells there. We are very happy that Zimba is now in a loving home where she will get all the petting and loving this beautiful livernosed girl deserves.

NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Chatham F 2 yrs Jan 01 YES ID195
See Pictures of Chatham Chatham took a LONG car ride to her forever home. She moved from sunny Florida to Chilly Bedford, Mass. But boy what a lucky girl she turned out to be. Chatham was adopted by Carol and David. Carol and Chatham's new r/r brother Timka drove down to Florida to meet and adopt her. It was love at first sight as the dogs met and frollicked on the lakeside. Carol took her new girl home to meet the rest of the family. She is now a very active dog going along on cross country ski runs, going to doggie day care and play group and taking many walks getting to know her new home and countryside. Carol says she goes to bed exausted each night from all her new adventures. We are lucky to have had such a dedicated, wonderful, loving, family adopt Chatham and I think she knows it!!!

Roxy F 2 yrs Jan 01 YES ID186
See Pictures of Roxy Roxy is a beautiful livernose girl who will turn 2 years old in January. She was surrendered to rescue because she was too much dog for a family with an infant and a toddler. Roxy has gone on to her new home. She won the hearts of Scott and Kelli and took a trip to the west coast to her new home in Largo, Fl. There she met her new r/r sister Curri where after they got to know each other they decided it might be nice to be "doggie sisters." Roxy will now spend her days playing with Curri, taking walks, and being loved. She is a lucky girl to have found this great forever home.

NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Toby F 6-9 mos Dec 00 YES ID170
See Pictures of Toby Toby is a lucky dog to have won the hearts of her new owners. David and Felice along with their 2 children came to see Toby as they were passing through for a holiday vacation...she barked up a storm at them when they first arrived but after awhile she was happily lying in Felice's lap chewing her doggie toy. The biggest perk is not only did they fall in love with Toby, they fell in love with Cooper, Toby's partner in crime while they were in Rescue. Cooper and Toby were inseparable and looked like little twins although Cooper was older. Their new family decided they just could not separate them and after much thought and planning they chose to adopt both dogs. 2 new dogs, 2 great kids, and 2 dedicated, caring owners have made this a perfect match.

NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Cooper M 2-1/2 yrs Dec 00 YES ID174
See Pictures of Cooper What a lucky dog Cooper was...he was just hanging out 1 day while a family was here that was interested in adopting another dog named Toby. Cooper and Toby were best pals while in Rescue and as the children played with Toby, I talked to the family about Cooper's special needs and my worry that he goes to the perfect home since he had already had 3 homes. A couple days later I got a call asking what their chances were of adopting both dogs. David and Felice had picked up on the fact that Cooper needed Toby, they were buddies and gave each other some measure of security. We talked over a few things and it was decided that as long as they had room for a Giant crate that would hold both dogs while they were away they would be the perfect home for both dogs. One of the first posts I got from this wonderful family was that they were happy to announce that their new crate "was big enough to hold both dogs, their 2 young children and a tea party"....Needless to say this has been the perfect home for both these dogs and the dedication David and Felice have for their 2 new dogs is remarkable. Even their 2 young children had a special compassion for the dogs and were wondeful with them. They are now 1 big happy family.

NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Duke M 6 mos Nov 00 YES ID172
See Pictures of Duke Duke is now renamed Luke. He is a handsome 6 month old male that was lovingly adopted by Sally and Richard and their ridgeback Sophie. He and Sophie hit it off as soon as they met and it was interesting how much they actually looked alike. They have become great doggie pals and we can't thank Sally and Richard enough for adopting this young dog and giving him a fantastic forever home.

NAME M/F AGE PLACED PICTURE? ID
Sophie F 4 yrs Dec 00 YES ID84
See Pictures of Sophie Sophie has finally gone onto an awesome forever home! She had been in rescue 3 months being overlooked because she had been debarked. I as her foster mom knew the right family would come along who would love her for her silly personality and I really didn't mind fostering her since she was such a remarkable, loveable girl. When I got a call from Dianna and her daughter Rebekah I knew Sophie was "going home". See, Dianna and Rebekah had adopted a dog from us almost 5 years ago and recently lost him...we knew this was a fantastic home and we couldn't do any better for Sophie. They drove all the way to Orlando from Louisianna to adopt her. After a quick turn around they were back in La. where Sophie (now named Charley) met Tory her new pom. sister and has been meeting and greeting people who were as anxious to have her up there as Dianna and Rebekah. Charley we miss you in Florida but know that you will have a fantastic life in your new home.
