Theme

The theme for the 2018 rescue quilt is performance activities.

Style

We are delighted to dedicate the 2018 Rhodesian Ridgeback quilt to our beloved companions. To represent the RRCUS 87th National Specialty theme, "Loving Life in Colorado," 15 quilters featured our Ridgebacks relishing Colorado outdoor activities, both past and present.

The finished size of the quilt is 53 by 41 inches (135 by 104 cm). The background cloth provides a modern graphic combination of birch trees and stylized mountains. Joan Lipiec designed the layout and assembled the blocks. Pat Ottaway made the quilt label. Custom longarm quilting was completed by Denise Cargill of Hobe Sound, Florida.

Raffle

The 2018 quilt will be raffled to raise funds for Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue, Inc. The winning ticket will be selected during the 87th RRCUS National Specialty Show in Loveland, Colorado, following the completion of Best of Breed competition on Friday, October 5, 2018. Raffle ticket holders needed not be present to win.
