Meet Nicholas (ID5206)
Nicholas and Noelle, our Christmas rescues, were rescued together. They were a breeding pair whose sole purpose was to produce puppies. Neither pup had a name and neither had ever ventured from their outdoor pen. They had never walked on a leash, rode in a car, spent a night in warmth or even received a good boy/girl pet. Nicholas and Noelle were adopted together, but sadly they were returned as their adopter did not feel equipped to deal with shy and fearful dogs.
Nicholas is a super sweet boy. He is crate trained and keeps his crate cleaned. He walks well on a leash now, but does scare easily with the sights and sounds of ordinary life. Nicholas does not enjoy the car and should travel in a crate. While he loves to be pet, it does take him time to warm up and trust. He has a playful side and will dance around as he is prepared for a walk. Nicholas will require an understanding owner, who will allow him the time he needs to acclimate to family life. He can be adopted with or without Noelle.
